Motorized Shades Help DIY Mom Enjoy her Projects During Nap Time

Melissa is an avid DIY-er – from scraping popcorn ceilings to making over her bathroom, she’s always got fun projects going on around her home. Her already adorable nursery for son Liam got an upgrade when she recently added motorized blackout shades. Better sleep for him means more time for her DIY projects!

“With the touch of a button I can control the light in Liam’s nursery and make his space more private and safe,” she says. “I love the upgraded feel and convenience of automated shades!”

Melissa went with a Smoove wall control mounted right next to the light switch to operate the motorized shades  – this way, she can open and close the shades as she enters or exits the nursery with no remotes to misplace! Plus, the motors are whisper quiet, so they won’t wake baby up with noise.

Melissa already enjoys Somfy powered motorized screens on her porch – so upgrading shades inside her home was an easy decision. The modern convenience is perfect for her busy life as a mom of four – and we’re pretty sure Liam will enjoy those blackout shades when he’s a teenager, too!
