When interior designer Candace Mary Griffin relocated to Chicago, she knew she had to have Somfy motorized shades in her new place because she’d already had them in her Detroit home! “I realized I simply could not live without the ease and convenience of my Somfy blinds,” says Candace. “In our new home, there are a number of windows that are simply too tall for us to reach, like the window in our living room that was causing a HUGE glare on our television.” We were more than happy to set Candace up with local Somfy Experts at National Window Shade to get her smart home set up and running. Since Candace is an interior designer, she found the wide range of fabrics that work with Somfy motors ideal. It was easy to find the perfect shades for each room of her home. Candace opted to have wall switches installed since they look great with her wallpaper and paint in each room – but her favorite part of Somfy motorized shades is the app and voice control. “What I love most is that I can connect it to my other smart home technologies through Somfy MyLink, which allows me to control the shades from my phone, and when I don't have my phone, with my voice, since it also integrates with Alexa!” said Candace.
