Lafayette Interior Fashions is an industry leader in custom window coverings manufacturing, offering products like blinds, shades, shutters and draperies that are custom crafted in the USA. Lafayette sells to customers throughout the United States who are interior designers, decorators and retail stores. The company headquarters in West Lafayette, Indiana houses the production facility, shipping services, customer service and all other administrative personnel. The Territory Sales Managers live and travel in their respective geographic area, thereby being able to better serve customers.  

In 1950, Lafayette Interior Fashions started in the garage pictured below as a small venetian blind company. The founder, Joe Morgan Sr., took orders, fabricated venetian blinds, and delivered the finished products in his own vehicle to customers in and around Lafayette, IN.  

He started with a simple product and a simple vision: To create a quality product, backed by exemplary service. These principles still guide our company today, 67 years later.  

Working Together

Over the years, the company was spread out in various buildings throughout town until 1992 when all production, customer service and shipping was brought together under one roof. In April of 1994, a tornado hit and destroyed most of the building. With the help of employees, loyal customers and vendors, production continued under tents in the parking lot until the building was rebuilt in October of 1994.  

In December 1989, Joe Morgan passed away, but his legacy lives on. Joe's two sons Dennis and Joe, and his daughter Toni, guided by their father's philosophy of business, continue to grow the business and aggressively follow the market trends to best serve their customers. With the third generation in key management positions, the fourth generation is now joining the family business!
