What does the LED on the mylink device mean?
If you’re wondering what the LED light on your myLink™ device is telling you, this article is a helpful guide.
The Somfy myLink is an easy way to make your motorized Radio Technology Somfy® (RTS) products even smarter. With the myLink you can create scenes of multiple products and schedule them to operate automatically throughout the day.
The myLink device has a helpful LED light on the front of the device that works as a status indicator. This light might change colors as you set up your myLink device or update your firmware. It also might blink to indicate the strength of your WiFi network. Think of this LED light on the front of your myLink as the device’s way of communicating with you.
If your myLink LED light has changed colors or started blinking, here’s a helpful guide to discover what it’s trying to tell you:
Solid Red:
This means the myLink is in setup mode. The myLink is ready to accept WiFi network information or have its PIN changed. This is the mode the myLink should be in out of the box.
Solid Green:
This means the myLink is successfully connected to a WiFi network
Slow Blinking Green:
This means the myLink is trying to connect to a WiFi network or is disconnected from its known WiFi network.
Solid Orange:
This means the myLink is in firmware update mode.
Slow Blinking Red:
This means the myLink is scanning both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands for nearby WiFi networks.
Single Orange Blink:
This means the myLink is in firmware update mode. This applies to current myLinks only and not to legacy myLinks.
Flashing Red:
This means the myLink is sending an RTS signal transmission.
