What affects Radio Technology Somfy range?
The myLink device connects to your Somfy-powered products through Radio Technology Somfy (RTS) radio waves. Many environmental factors can affect Radio Frequency (RF) signals, including the following:
- Building materials such as steel and concrete
- Lots of other RF products
- Installation near a hospital or airport
- Accessibility to the motor antenna
- Areas with many WiFi networks in close proximity
Some common household items can also occasionally affect RTS range, including:
- Cordless phones
- Baby monitors
- Security alarms
- Microwaves
It is recommended that the Somfy myLink is within a range of 35 ft. from window covering featuring RTS. We recommend that you plug your myLink device as close as you can to the RTS product you’re looking to control. We also recommend one myLink device per room to cut down on interference and for optimal performance.
