Automatic Limit Setting For Your MAESTRIA™ 50 RTS Motor
Maestria is designed for all types of exterior screens, however some functions, like automatic limit settings, are available only for screens featuring a hard stop.
A hard stop is when the screen has a physical stop between the load bar and the cassette at the upper end limit. This setting also automatically adjusts fabric tightness, guaranteeing constant tension and protecting the screen.
This accurate and fast setup is completed in only two steps:
Let’s get started!
Remember to power only one motor at a time and make sure the screen is not inactive for more than 2 minutes or the motor will exit programming mode. If that happens, start from the beginning.
Initiate programming by pressing briefly both UP and DOWN buttons. The screen jogs.
Check the direction of operation by pressing UP or DOWN and if the movement doesn’t correspond with the control, reverse it by pressing and holding the MY button until the screen jogs.
Now position the screen half way. Briefly press UP and DOWN simultaneously. The screen jogs.
Press the DOWN button for 2 seconds. The screen lowers until it returns to it’s lower limit position (at about 1/8 of an inch from the floor).
To validate the settings press MY until the screen jogs.
As a final step, briefly press the programming button on the back of the control. The screen jogs. The motor is programmed and in user mode.
The upper limit setting will be automatically calculated during the first four cycles in user mode. There are no additional steps to be completed. After those four learning cycles, the upper end limit is established.
The limits will be automatically recalculated on a regular basis, to compensate for any fabric extension and guaranteeing fabric tightness at all times.
