How to Add and Delete Controls From Your Somfy-powered Drapery
Radio Technology Somfy® (RTS) offers great flexibility in the way draperies are controlled. For example, one drapery can be controlled by one remote control or several different remotes. A group of draperies can be operated as a group and individually by one or multiple controls.
You can mix and match controls, including timers, sensors, app and voice control, as well as via third-party home automation systems.
Let’s add more controls to a previously programmed drapery.
Starting with an already programmed RTS transmitter press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON on the back of that control, until the drapery jogs. (A jog is a quick back and forth movement of your motorized drapery.) The motor will now remain in programming mode for two minutes.
Next, select the new RTS control and briefly press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON of that control. The motor will jog confirming the new control. Test it by pressing the UP or DOWN buttons.
Now, let’s add a drapery channel to a multi-channel control like the Telis 16. Again, starting with an already programmed RTS remote, press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON on the back until the drapery jogs.
Now take the Telis 16 and select a channel – in our case, it is channel 10, which we named “Drapery”.
Turn it over and briefly press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON on the back. The motor will jog, confirming the new control. Test it by pressing the UP or DOWN buttons. All three remotes now control the same drapery.
Removing an RTS Transmitter
To remove a control, start with a remote you wish to keep and press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON on the back of that remote. Then take the remote you wish to delete and press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON on its back. The remote is now removed from the motor’s memory.
To remove a channel from a multi-channel control, first take the remote you are keeping and press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON of that control. Then take the multi-channel remote, select the channel you'd like to delete and press the PROGRAMMING BUTTON on the back of that control. The remote is now removed from the motor’s memory.
