How to Motorize Your Draperies with Somfy's Irismo WireFree Motor

How to Install Somfy Drapery Rail and Irismo™ WireFree
What will you need? Here’s the accessories list:
For The Rail:
- 1 rail
- 1 rail joint
- 1 belt
- 2 drive pulley
- 1 pulley cover
- 2 master carriers
- 1 straight arm
- 1 HD overlap arm
- Runners- 8 pieces/meter
- Ceiling fix plate
- 2 motor hooks
You Will Also Need:
- Measuring tape
- Screwdriver
- Pen
- Scissors
- Drill
- 2 clamps
Important: Before Installation
Make sure you have measured the size of your windows and left 7cm/2.75” for each drive pulley or 3cm/1.125” for one small pulley.
Slightly unscrew the plate. Insert the connector plate and center between the rails. Secure the connector plate starting with outside screws.
Disassemble the HD master carrier, put each part aside. Remove the securing device from the belt holder. Position and attach belt holder at the very end of the belt. Do not attach securing device.
Place the belt holder inside of the HD master carrier. Pull the HD master carrier through the rail. Remove the HD master carrier and the belt holder. Remove the stoppers from both pulleys. Slide the belt through the pulley.
Position and attach the belt holder at the very end of the belt and attach the securing device. Slide the HD master carrier in the rail and fit the pulley onto the rail. Pull the HD master carrier through the rail.
Cut the belt, leaving 100mm for the drive pulley or 65mm for the small pulley. Secure the belt to the rail using clamps.
On the opposite end of the rail, make sure the belt is tight. Make a mark on the belt where it meets the end of the rail. Install the second belt holder, separate by one tooth, then secure. Insert the belt holder into the HD master carrier. Push HD master carrier into the rail and install the pulley.
Slide the belt through the pulley. Position and attach the belt holder at the very end of the belt and attach the securing device. Insert and pull the HD master carrier through the rail.
Reassemble the HD master carrier. The HD master carriers should slide without effort and should align in the center of the rail.
Attach the HD overlap arm to the HD master carrier with included screws. Attach the HD straight arm to the HD master carrier with included screws.
Insert runners into the rail through the pulleys. Make sure each eye release is installed in the same direction. Install and secure a drive pulley stop on each side of the rail. Install the fabric return hooks to the outside edge of the pulley.
Connect the battery pack to the Irismo WireFree motor. Align and insert the motor into the drive pulley, then secure with the locking device.
Attach curtain to the runners, starting with the return hooks. Test the touch motion capability by slightly pulling the fabric.
If you need to reset the motor, simply push and hold the rest button until the arms move 3 times.
