Extron and Somfy

Combining Extron control capabilities with Somfy- powered smart shading creates a smarter, more efficient and convenient workspace. Through the integration of Somfy- powered products and Extron Control System Drivers and Device Modules, users can take a smart building to the next level. Somfy- powered products can be activated upon a system event initiated by an occupancy sensor. This room automation can raise the motorized shades and projection screen when a room is no longer in use, or shades can be lowered in preparation for a presentation based upon lighting level in the room.

The Extron control processor sends commands to Somfy- powered motorized shading products via standard control protocols. The shades and projector screens then provide a responsive room control experience as part of the complete smart building solution. Sensors can be used to trigger automated settings for motorized shades and projector screens based on room occupancy, ambient light level, and more.
